Antique 19Thc French Glass Sulphide Pope PaperweightAntique glass sulphide paperweight with ground pontil makr to base containing a likeness of one of the 19thc popes. There are no visible makers names or marks but probably french in origin. Weight measures 2.1/8 high x 3.1/4 in diameter. Weight has a small bruise & some fritting around the base, an l shaped surface manufacturing flaw & internal (air bubble) flaws (see pictures) there is also some surface wear with small scratches & abrasions consistent with age but no cracks or chips. Please see pictures to assess damage, flaws & condition. |
