Antique Military Soldier Wwii War Rosary W Metal CaseAnitque wwii military soldier's metal bead rosary with old metal cylinder case. The center of the rosary portrays virgin mary on one side and jesus carrying the cross on the other side. Just as the burden our soldiers carry with them every day. The cross is quite old and beautiful. iWth raised corpus. Inri across teh top. And an exquisite tsarburst nimbus.
Wiht many years of patina. It measures approx. 16 1/4 when laid out flat. The metal cylinder case measures 2 5/8 when closed and has a diameter of a little over 3/4. I have been collecting military rosaries for over 25 years and this is only the 2nd set like this i have coem across. Quite rare to find. Don't let it get away. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
